The Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act has made it possible for the New Jersey drivers to purchase a basic car insurance policy at a comparatively cheap rate. Previously paying for auto insurance in the region didn’t come cheap; it was nightmare for many drivers who were unfairly charged highest premium in the nation. This forced insurers to leave the state who wanted to avoid the high cost of doing business there. But after the said act came into force things started looking up in the region, insurance rates came in line with other states and the insurance companies which previously abandoned the place were back doing business in the region.
Under the Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction act drivers are able to get cheap car insurance in New Jersey which is even cheaper than the standard car insurance policy. This policy includes certain benefits like, personal injury protection of $15,000 per injured person and $250000 per serious or permanent injuries. It also provides property damage liability of $5000 per accident. Although the bodily injury liability benefit is not included in this policy, it is been made optional. In case the policy holder chooses to add bodily injury liability, he will get $10000 per victim per accident.
While collision coverage and comprehensive coverage is not included in the policy as well, it can be added on depending on how basic car insurance policy was issued. It looks like, that this policy, which is the cheapest car insurance available in New Jersey, apparently fail to provide crucial coverages and offers only minimal coverage. But its plus point is that, while the drivers carrying this insurance policy can take legal action in event of a vehicle related accident, the drivers without any insurance are not entitled to this right. This basic car insurance is not available for everyone but meant for only those who don’t have much family responsibility.
